About the company
John Lewis, part of the John Lewis Partnership, began trading in 1864 on London's Oxford Street, and has grown to become the largest omni-channel retailer in the UK with 46 John Lewis shops (32 department stores, 12 John Lewis at home and shops at St Pancras International and Heathrow Terminal 2) and a growing online business - johnlewis.com. Technology is an integral part of our £9.5 billion business. It underpins every aspect of the retail life cycle and is a critical part of our business’ success. Our IT teams have to innovate and move fast to give us an edge in a highly competitive environment. Technology that has our customers and employees (known as Partners) at it’s heart is of paramount importance; we look to technology to engage our customers, drive sales, enhance efficiency and improve the bottom line.
Why work for us?
Our Partners will tell you that the John Lewis Partnership is a very special place to work. We believe our distinctive culture – our magic – lies at the heart of this feeling. As a Partnership we are a democracy – open, fair and transparent. Our profits are shared, our Partners have a voice, and there is a true sense of pride in belonging to something so unique and highly regarded.
Some of our Projects
my John Lewis
my John Lewis is John Lewis's membership program for customers. It offers benefits such a tea and cake, entry in to prize draws and exclusive shopping events. These are all tailored to the customer based on how they shop with us. We have also launched a new benefit called Kitchen Drawer where all customer receipts (instore and online) are stored in a customer's account making them really easy to access.
