About the company
MediaCom is the UK’s largest Media Agency and we are responsible for over £1 Billion of UK advertising spend. We are also proud to have recently been named as Campaign’s Media Agency of the Year and confirmed as Recma’s No.1 global agency. We work with some of the world’s largest and most exciting advertisers, such as Coca Cola, Sky, Universal and Volkswagen. Our aim is to recruit the brightest, freshest thinkers, regardless of background and experience.
Why work for us?
Our company motto is People First, Better Results and we invest a great deal of time and money on ensuring this is at the heart of the agency. From the funding of courses outside of work (anything from hypnosis to flower arranging!) to creating fun events in the agency (such as a circus and flashmobs) we passionately believe that people produce better work if they work in a creative, vibrant and dynamic environment. We have a very open culture which ensures that people of all levels of the company are able to gain access to experiences (such as pitches, training and development opportunities) regardless of background, years in industry or hierarchy.
Some of our Projects
Cancer Research UK, ‘Tap to Beat Cancer’
We turned four shop windows into a donation channel, installing contactless card readers. A huge video screen showed a scientist waiting expectantly, with the message ‘Tap this window to beat cancer sooner’. A single tap donated £2 and activated the video screen, setting the scientist to work, dramatically showing how every small donation keeps research going.
Coca-Cola, 'Share a Coke with…..’
Everyone loved the first Share a Coke. Everyone wanted to see their name on a bottle. We built the world's first ever fully personalised TV campaign, to target Coke’s core 16-34 audience. We let Coke talk to everyone as an individual. We did this by giving all 11 million viewers of the 4oD catch-up TV platform a chance to see their own name on a bottle.
Universal Music Group, ‘Sam Smith’
Our idea was simple but daring. Live stream his performance in an ad break on national TV. We broadcast ‘Stay With Me’ live from the iconic Roundhouse in London. In a high risk move, he timed the song perfectly so that as he sung, we broadcast live in a 3-minute ad break takeover on Channel 4.
